My current role involves supporting charities & projects to develop accommodation for refugees asylum seekers and other migrants across the UK.14 years experience in charity sector. Whilst leading Open Door North East grew the charities reach and services to provide hope and opportunity for refugees and asylum seekers on Teesside. A key element was the development of housing through a social lettings cross subsidiary model. Working in partnership with social investors, landlords and churches to provide housing for over 100 refugees and asylum seekers in Middlesbrough and Stockton-on-Tees.Previously worked for 20 years in local government in a variety of roles centred around landscape architecture, trees, environmental planning & urban realm improvement, including; design, procurement, project, contract & multidisciplinary team management.A not for profit visionary who sees the potential, makes the connections, that facilitate partnership to achieve positive change.
