I was under employment at 3D Personnel & Logistics and was successfully promoted to project logistics manager on the £51 million CoLPAI School and Residential tower development in collaboration with the main contractor, ISG Ltd. As the site’s logistics manager, I was responsible for the following items;• Managing labourers, forklift drivers, cleaners, security, banksmen, and handyman on a day-to-day basis including the management of staffing levels on the project in relation to the requirements of the main contractor. • Liaising with senior management team for ongoing site operations in line with the construction programme and attending weekly client progress meetings• Overseeing and managing all forms of waste management on the project. • Ensuring the site was open for operations and securely locked at the end of each working day. Ensuring the site is secure so no public access could be obtained throughout the working day and liaising with the project’s consultancy security firm.• Competently managing all deliveries coming into site to adequately service the job of building materials via a robust online booking system. • Booking, maintaining & organising all plant requests for the project.• Management of working areas alongside the project director and senior construction managers to ensure all subcontractors had adequate safe working environments. • Processing all clear up notices for the project and instructing to trades where applicable. • Ensuring construction tasks are completed in line with the project’s construction programme and to the compliant standard. • Completing all formal processes and paperwork including time sheets, inductions forms, request forms etc.• Maintaining Health & Safety standards and implementing good practices.• Managing the projects Fire and Emergency requirements.
