Senior military advisor in Mali to the Secretary of Defense and US Ambassador. I developed security strategies and policies in conjunction with the US interagency community. I worked with partners from Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, North America and the United Nations to collaborate, coordinate and evaluate common interests in Africa. I reported on military, counterterrorism and political issues to inform US strategy in the Sahel region. I helped shape a critical National Security Council policy change towards security cooperation in Mali. I attended the Joint Military Attaché School (Washington DC) where I developed representational, reporting, analysis, advisement and language (French) skills to serve as a United States Defense Attaché.

Led Africa Command security cooperation programming and planning for 9 central African countries valued at $28M per year. Supervised joint military, DoD civilian and interagency civilians in creating and implementing country plans and programs with national security objectives. Regularly briefed senior US leaders on regional policies and activities. Supported US planning efforts against Boko Haram and the Lord’s Resistance Army. Served as link between Africa Command and US Embassy-Libya during Benghazi attack as well as emergency evacuation of US Embassy in Central African Republic.

Earned Master’s Degree in National Security Studies - Defense Decision Making. I authored a thesis entitled “Foreign Assistance Dependency: Breaking the Cycle through Advanced Education”

Led training and curriculum management for 170 Air Force (AF) career fields with 550 courses and 48,000 annual graduates. Primary training advisor during AF nuclear enterprise reorganization and led 25 nuclear training initiatives which improved nine nuclear related career fields.
