Paul is Chief Executive of Leidos Australia, a post he took up in March 2020 following 22 years with the organisation, most recently as Director IT Projects and Intelligence. With extensive Program and Engineering Management, Systems Design and Integration experience across the Civil, Intelligence, Aerospace, Space and Maritime sectors, Paul is respected among Defence and Government customers as a strategic and operational thinker adept at growing businesses, contract delivery and leading highly successful teams. He is passionate about investing in talent and creating challenging opportunities for those he leads, and is proud to count many of the graduates he worked with initially in industry among his current project leaders and senior leadership team.Paul holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Electronics) and Masters Degrees in Software Engineering and Commercial Law. He is also chair of the Victorian Government Defence Alliance – Digital. Paul has 3 adult children and, if given half a chance, can be found mountain biking or 4wd driving in the Victorian High country. As a long suffering St Kilda supporter, he has a pragmatic approach to program delivery.Background:Paul and his team joined Leidos through its acquisition of Lockheed Martin’s local Integrated Systems and Global Services business, where as General Manager he established the first wholly own Lockheed engineering entity in Australia executing aircraft sustainment and systems development projects and supporting a number of engineering programs including rail and maritime systems. Paul also worked in the Lockheed Martin /Tenix joint venture RLM Systems as a Business Unit Manager with responsibilities for AP3C Engineering Support, Seahawk and C4ISR Programs. The business unit and staff becoming wholly owned Lockheed Martin entity. Prior to joining industry, Paul served for 15 years as Engineering Officer in the Royal Australian Air Force. Joining as an engineering cadet, positions included, 492SQN Engineering, HQLC AIRENG, 292SQN Software Development Flight and The Directorate of Airworthiness. He study with the USAF focused on high performance computing and aircraft software certification at the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) at Wright Patterson Airforce Base, Dayton Ohio.
