First line of contact between global VIP users and the IT department. Responsible for the fulfilment of business requirements to ensure direction to the corresponding and relevant IT group. Managing and planning of the HQ relocation from Reykjavik to Zug, including full network, server and desktop migration, installation and support. Responsible for the setup and administration of the corporate MS Exchange and Blackberry Enterprise services. Key Activities:• Local and global support of corporate VIP users, including Service Desk incident management, Support of COTS applications, Support of Citrix web applications, Support of the VoIP system (Avaya) and Network services support.• Storage & backup responsibility (including offline storage), and ensuring both DR and HA requirements are met.• Procurement and managing of third party (external) support companies whilst ensuring BI support for Cognos, SharePoint, BizTalk and SAP, whilst liaising with the global software development, deployment & update teams.• Responsible for training users within multiple environments, including but not limited to the MS Communicator (OCS), Telephones, Printers and the AvayaX Communicator (for VoIP), and releasing the appropriate User manuals, training materials and help guides.• Responsible for managing external services and location equipment, including full VIP support of (Video) conferencing and VoIP meetings.• Responsible for the support of the Cisco VPN system, administration of corporate user accounts, end user tools, and both in-house and third-party technologies, packages, and GxP compliant environments.• Responsible for the support in Regensdorf, Salzburg and Ingelheim for both, office users and the sales force.• Leading role during the migration activities to Windows 7 and to the new domain in Prague, Bucharest, Munich and Zug. Close cooperation with the migration team during the software testing and planning phase.
