Manager of various Corporate Actions processing teams for the North America region, responsible for sign off / approval of CA instructions and management of risk and breaks associated with the team and man management.Key part of role was to review existing target operating model to identify areas where risk reduction and efficiency savings could be realised. Numerous recommendations were introduced and adopted during this time, significantly mitigating risk across various areas.Worked with trading desks to create new initiatives including a Guaranteed Borrow process toincrease revenue for the Stock Lending team.Primary point of contact for Trading desks, Prime Brokerage Clients, Middle Office and Technology group.Migrated the largest Corporate Actions processing unit to an entire new platform which encompassed full transfer of all positions and migration to new systems for every aspect of Corporate Actions Processing. Worked with Technology teams to create Business Requirement Documents, test scripts, coordinated testing of all new systems for the migration, overseeing the process through to providing final approval.Set up new processing unit to support Swap CA processing not previously covered by department. Led the project from initially documenting business and operations requirements and followed through to successful implementation.Successfully migrated five separate processing units to lower cost centres, over a three year period. Oversaw all areas of the transfer to ensure minimal risk exposure while concurrently saving over 30% on processing staff costs for the department.Continued Risk Management and oversight of processing teams until new site was self sufficient.

Responsible for dealing with all Prime Brokerage Client issues relating to Corporate Actions, Income, Fixed Income and Swaps Corporate Actions as the sole client facing member of the area, liaising directly with clients and the Prime Brokerage Client Service Representatives to ensure that all issues are resolved in a timely manner.Increased exposure to PB clients through direct communication has given me further insight into the nature of the relationship between the client and the Prime Broker, in addition to the relationship between Operations and the Prime Broker. Dealing with client requests has given invaluable experience of how to manage the client relationship by ensuring their needs and expectations are met at all times.In addition to the Client Service role I am also responsible for checking and verifying all Corporate Action instructions prepared by the processing team. Verification of Corporate Action Instructions is a significant responsibility which has required thoroughness and accuracy at all times.I was recently seconded to New York for five weeks, to oversee the migration of International Corporate Actions processing on an internationaI platform from New York to London.I have been responsible for documenting current state and adaptations to fit with end user requirements. Also responsible for training the processing team and supervisors / managers on all areas of the process.

Head of the Conversions team reporting into the Special Events Manager. In addition to processing all Bond Conversions, responsible for supervising, delegating tasks, identifying responsibilities for team members and ensuring that all conversion requests are actioned and settled whilst acting as the primary point of contact for all Depositories, Custodians, Traders and Middle Office.Ownership of the break clearance operation, as well as monitoring and tracking break levels, ensuring that they consist of only current business with no aged items. As the primary contact for Depositories and Traders I have gained an in depth understanding of the needs of the client and the ADR business as a whole.Significant managerial skills were acquired whilst in this role along with techniques for interviewing candidates through practical experience and by attending a course.Training all new members of staff on both the Prime Brokerage and Firm side of Conversions.
