    • Serve as Principal Investigator of NIMH-funded PrEPared & Strong study, a large-scale community-based research study on improving adherence to Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) in Harlem:o Led the effort to obtain funding for the five-year project, with annual budget of approximately $620,000o Exceeded enrollment targets with 204 black men who have sex with men (MSM) and transgender women (TGW) at substantial risk of acquiring HIVo Established effective stakeholder partnership with Harlem United, a community-based HIV nonprofit, to provide treatment and follow-up care to MSM and TGW participants impacted by homelessness; developed innovations to effectively improve medication adherence and retention o Supervise staff of five: peer navigators, recruitment specialist, interviewer, and study coordinatoro To date, co-authored one peer-reviewed publication• Serve as senior program director for two projects in South Africa: o MOSAIC Men’s Health Initiative, which provided prevention services to nearly 43,000 MSMo TB/HIV Training Center, which has trained 200+ health professionals using innovative courses on TB/HIV, infection control, and operations research• Assisted with obtaining funding and managing the NIDA-funded Seek, Test, Link and Retain (STAR) study which has identified previously undiagnosed HIV-positive black MSM and linked and retained them in HIV care
