I am a law enforcement professional with over 15 years of civilian and military law enforcement experience, currently employed with the Milan Police Department in Milan, MI. As Director of Training for Great Lakes Security, I built and implemented training plans for uniformed Security Officers, both armed and unarmed, serving a variety of clients. Previously, I was a full time Deputy Sheriff with the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office. My additional duties included Training Officer, Firearms Instructor (Patrol Rifle and Pistol) and Defensive Tactics Instructor. I was also a Team Leader and Sniper with the Washtenaw Metro SWAT Team. Additionally, I have been a Soldier in the Michigan Army National Guard since 2006. Currently, I am a Senior Instructor with 1st Battalion, 177th Regiment (RTI) where I train Soldiers to become Military Police in the Reserve Component of the U.S. Army. My typical duties consist of primary instruction in Law and Order Military Police Operations as well as firearms instruction. My military training includes Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor Training (LEFIT) and the Army's Protective Services Training Course (PSTC).My education includes a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice (Western Michigan University) and a Master's Degree in Intelligence Management (National American University/Henley-Putnam School of Strategic Security).
