• Provide individual therapy utilizing Problem Solving Therapy (PST), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Mindfulness on females with co-occurring disorders of Substance Use Disorder (SUD), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety Disorders and suicidal ideations• Develop comprehensive treatment plans based on qualitative assessment tools in conjunction with client feedback and participation• Facilitate group psychotherapy for clients concerning topics of suicide prevention, domestic violence, developing coping mechanisms to increase long-term recovery, anger management, and parenting skills• Access community resources including halfway/sober living housing, transportation, short and long-term psychotherapy and 12-Step support groups through skillful clinical case management

• Delivered one-on-one peer support for homeless veterans, and their families to reduce stress and increase mental health while utilizing; MI, CBT, and PST• Advocated for veterans and their families providing referrals and in-depth case management for; employment services, food and shelter, rent and utility services, legal resources, VA benefits and veteran transitional services• Connected veterans and their families with appropriate substance use counseling services, Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (VASH) and available PTSD and TBI counseling services

Advocate and mentored participants to enter and complete timely and appropriate treatment for psychological and substance abuse conditions stemming from military service.

Worked directly with veterans recovering from Post-traumatic Stress, addictions and homelessness. As an intern, my responsibilities included providing administrative support to the Post-traumatic Stress Coordinator for all administrative aspects of his position to include managing a patient tracking system and maintaining patient records. I provided support for the residents by evaluating their needs, provided information on available educational and rehabilitative benefits associated with their service in the military. I assisted in the successful tracking of over 50 veterans in various external programs to facilitated their recovery.
