I am a Partner in the insurance coverage group and work on D&O, E&O, Cyber, FI, EPL, Fiduciary, and GL matters. I act as coverage and monitoring counsel for primary and excess insurers in complex coverage matters involving, among other things, shareholder class and derivative actions, internal investigations, regulatory investigations and actions, professional services, date breaches, ransomware, BEC, and ERISA class actions (including “stock-drop,” excessive fees, and cash-balance actions). When coverage disputes arise and cannot be resolved informally, I represent insurers in coverage mediations and litigations. I also have extensive experience drafting policies and endorsements for insurers.In addition to working on insurance coverage matters, I defend individuals and companies in state and federal courts around the country against claims alleging, for example, securities fraud, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, and negligence, as well as against adversary proceedings in bankruptcy court. I also have significant experience with Special Litigation Committees, including acting as counsel to the SLC.I write about and lecture on "hot topics," trends, important developments, and other issues in the various fields in which I practice. I am a former Co-Chair of the D&O Subcommittee of the Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee of the ABA Section of Litigation, a member of the Computer & Technology E&O Subcommittee of the Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee of the ABA Section of Litigation and a member of the Organizing Committee of the DRI Cannabis Law Seminar.
