Currently supporting a client in the e-commerce sector. The client transitions from a retail company to a marketplace to allow partners to sell items through a platform. This transition opens doors for new business opportunities, for example selling marketing products to partners. Paul built a team that implemented services to connect existing marketing products to the company's partner portal.Paul took on the role the technical design lead in this project.

Consulted a client in the automotive industry. I am helped the company to improve the customer management, risk analysis and DevOps setup.Paul took on the responsibility to integrate Python microservice with external systems e.g., a payment service provider and credit score agencies. He built and oversaw the observability dashboards of the team build with Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana and Elastic Search. Over time Paul took on an increasing number of DevOps responsibilities, focused on the continuous integration and development setup at the client and its infrastructure. These tasks involved building and enhancing CI/CD pipelines, as well as updating, creating and debugging Helm charts and Kubernetes resources. Furthermore, Paul was leading an initiative to formalize the incident management process. Which led to transparency for the management in incident recovery time and incident rate.One of Paul's challenges was to tackle code duplication in integration and deployment pipelines. He worked to coordinate development teams to adopt common and reusable Github Workflows and Actions. This shift resulted in a notable improvement to lead time for workflow changes, as teams no longer had to touch every repository if part of their pipelines changed.During his time with the company, Paul contributed significantly by assisting with two infrastructure migrations. The first migration involved transitioning from an on-premise Kubernetes cluster to a new one, while the second migration entailed moving from an on-premise cluster to the more efficient Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) cluster. Paul took the lead in creating a proof of concept to switch from the existing observability stack to Open Telemetry in Azure

This service allows students to stay informed about the best lunch deals in town and make informed meal choices while sticking to their budget.As a co-founder of Studierendenfutter, Paul's primary focus was to transform the company's proof of concept into a stable software solution. In his role, he took responsibility for the software architecture and infrastructure, playing a crucial role in the company's growth.Since the establishment of Studierendenfutter's software foundation, the company has seen impressive growth, expanding from just thirty signups to more than a thousand. This success is a testament to Paul's contributions as a co-founder, demonstrating his capacity to help build and scale a successful software startup.

As the cloud-based data foundation for SAP Business Technology Platform, it integrates data from across the enterprise, enabling faster decisions based on live data.Paul joined SAP SE as a working student to support the backup and recovery team of the HANA Cloud service.As part of his role, Paul was responsible for adding new features and tests to Golang microservices running on Kubernetes clusters. He also focused on enhancing existing CI/CD Jenkins pipelines. By introducing automated dependency updates from within Jenkins pipelines, he significantly reduced development time for other team members. Additionally, Paul and his team successfully implemented a user-triggered backup recovery process.In addition to his technical responsibilities, Paul also took on the role of onboarding new student workers, demonstrating his capacity for leadership and effective communication.

Paul was recruited to join the client's full-stack development team, with a focus on developing and improving the consumer platform. This platform enabled customers to view their chosen energy product, enter meter data, and change providers. Paul worked on implementing and optimizing new and existing landing pages, aiming to increase the click-through rate of different customer segments. To make it easier for non-developers to update the frontend content, he connected Contentful as a headless content management system to the web application. In addition to his technical responsibilities, Paul also took on additional responsibilities by interviewing and onboarding new developers, demonstrating his capability to take on leadership and mentorship roles within the team.

When Paul joined Vivelia, he became part of a newly formed IT department. With no software developed at Vivelia yet, Paul's initial focus was on setting up the infrastructure and development workflow. He worked on creating the architecture for the envisioned application, as well as implementing the necessary services.In addition to his technical contributions, Paul also played a role in the hiring process. He participated in interviewing and selecting candidates for outsourcing IT work, demonstrating his capacity to contribute to the company's growth beyond technical solutions.
