As 2nd engineer onboard ICON I have been maintaining all running deck and engine machinery including 2x MTU M71 main engines, 3x Scania diesel generators, Quantum Zero Speed Stabilisers, 2x HEM Reverse osmosis plants, Heinen & Hopman Air conditioning plant and all other auxiliary machinery. Included in my role I maintained a range of tenders comprising of a BSC RIB, MOB tender, 2x Seadoo Jetskis, two large Limo shadow tenders with Yanmar diesel inboards and a large guest Jet RIB.

As 2nd engineer onboard UMBRA I was partly responsible for maintaining all running machinery including 4 x MTU 4000 series, 3 x Volvo Penta diesel generators, Quantum Zero Speed Stabilisers, and all other auxiliary machinery. As well as general maintenance I was responsible for all AVIT equipment onboard including; VSAT and TVRO satellite systems, Panasonic telephone and television systems, NAD audio systems, Amino and Cisco wireless systems. We have had many tenders onboard which have incorporated the following machinery: 4 stroke Yamaha and Mariner outboards, Yamaha and Seadoo jetskis, Cummins, Yanmar and Volvo Penta inboard diesel engines with outdrives and Hamilton jet systems, and Yanmar gensets. We also had an extensive amount of hydraulics onboard including a 12 tonne deck crane, which I had been involved in maintaining and repairing as necessary.

As a 3rd engineer onboard P&O I worked as a watch keeper and as Hotel Services Engineer. As 3rd engineer I was responsible for general watch keeping in the engine room as well as many general repair and maintenance jobs. As hotel services engineer I was in charge of 6 hotel fitters setting their weekly jobs, completing permits to work and risk assessments, and general fabrication and welding jobs.
