• Served as principal technical resource, managing full SDLC, on numerous projects. Examples include:o Designed comprehensive, custom contracted, patient payment enhancement for multi-site state run facilities, meeting mandated state regulatory requirements.o Developed application which offered a single point of access and view for multiple key billing processes. This included the combination of disparate claim history views for EDI and non-EDI forms to a single historical view using enhanced GUI. Requisite supporting data pieces for billing were developed with touchpoint/single click access to this new Billing History screen. These included the ability to view the literal 837 data, 835 payment data linked to the paid claim, as well as entering additional billing data for resubmissions and/or submissions of new bill requests to a payer. Additional links were also developed to view the Charge Detail, the EDI 270/271 Eligibility and Benefits data, the EDI 278 Notification of Admission data and the CAQH CORE Business Scenarios for claims payment rules.o Developed Revenue Cycle Manager (RCM) tool which provided the ability to review and resolve billing edits, prior to claims being sent to clearing houses, ensuring claims were as complete as possible to reduce Discharged, Not Final Billed (DNFB) amounts. The RCM tool provided the ability to track and resolve exceptions and monitor productivity. o Upgrading of several existing applications, integrating enhanced GUI design.• Lead technical resource on achieving a company record 30-year low support backlog• Developed and maintained top rated KLAS revenue claims billing product, covering several of the largest hospital organizations in the country• Supervised and trained new resources technically as well as on the application business logic• Worked on Unix and NT platforms using MUMPS, InterSystems Caché and code-generated applications
