Direct Connect is still one of Australia's largest moving services companies, helping hundreds of thousands of people move home every year. Paul was instrumental in the ultimate sale of the Direct Connect/Lumo businesses to Snowy Hydro for $605m in 2014. While Paul was the CEO of Direct Connect, he worked with the retail arm of Lumo Energy, developing a retail strategy that drove the launch of the now national energy retail brand, Lumo Energy, using first of its kind digital platforms to drive new acquisition strategies. In 2015 Paul completed the 8 week live-in AMP course at the Harvard Business School.Paul has been Chairman of the Melbourne Rebels Rugby Union Club since 2017 which plays in the global Super Rugby Competition, and he is also a Director of Rugby Victoria. Paul is the Regional Chair of YPO Australia & New Zealand, the largest CEO and business owner networking group in the world. Paul sits as one of the Chairs on the Regional Global Committee representing Australia and New Zealand. Paul is Executive Chair of Humminbird, Executive Chair of the Hood.AI tech platform, is the Executive Chair of SmileStyler and the Executive Chair of Serkel.Paul has a wife, Georgina, and three boys aged 14, 12 and 10 and two female staffy’s.
