Responsibilities:• Senior Ship Operator. Responsible for daily operations on BP-owned, Time Chartered and Spot Chartered ships• Manage the voyage operations (Load, Discharge, Bunkering etc) for Europe, Middle East and Africa on Clean Products, Dirty Products and Gas• A member of the Incident Management Team and Business Support Team• On Call/Out of Hours Duty coverage for all commercial, personnel and plant emergencies from ship/shore• Advise and liaise with BP Integrated Supply & Trading (BP Oil International, BP Products North America, BP Spain etc.) on all marine related issues• Interpret and review instructions from Chartering Parties, internal BP and external third parties (Shell, Chevron, Koch etc)• Liaise with Captains onboard providing voyage orders to undertake in compliance with the Charter Party terms and conditions, Local and International LawAchievements:• Promoted by my manager to Senior Level Operator as a result of consistently delivering quality work and business outcomes• No recordable incidents or audit findings in 7+ years• New starter training – hands on approach to training all new starters in Ship Operations of the UK region• Coaching – provide ongoing coaching and leadership to colleagues• Training – bespoke Computer Based Training (CBT) package for BP Group• Become Business Owner for development of BP Open Shipping System (BPOSS) internal business system, liaising with offshore developers, fixing bugs, adding new features, full UAT and managed rollout • Successful roll-out of desktop machines for Ship Ops after successful delivery of business plan• Business owner of a new mobile app for BPOSS users allowing mobile business support for the first time• Critical business risk identification reported to BP Legal by myself in closing out ~$300m USD quarterly exposure to BP Group relating to recurring trade in Nigeria
