Appointed as Planning and Auditing Manager at Avmax Aviation Services Inc. Scope of responsibilities include: Meeting with Business Sale Team to determine the requirements of the customer. Drawing up quotes for work on behalf of the Business Sales Team. Managing the Auditing team schedule of audits required and the progress of these audits, also the work scope definitions. Directing of Maintenance Planners to develop a work package for the production team using the work scope as defined by Auditing. Correspond with Bombardier for engineering requirements and modifications. The recruitment of staff to meet company needs. The efficient filing and safe keeping of all aircraft records while with Avmax.

As a Technical Records Auditor it was required to review all aircraft technical records for completeness and correctness in accordance with the manufacturers requirements. To then advise the customer, both internal and external to the company, of the required course of action for the maintenance needed to meet their requirements and create a work scope for the Planning department. Accurate and methodical work methods are required to be successful as an auditor.

Appointed as the Chief Maintenance Planner at SA Express Airways a regional airline which operates seven DH 8 300, two DH 8 Q400, eleven CRJ 200 and five CRJ 700 aircraft. Scope of responsibilities include: Managing and planning the scheduled maintenance, including the spares and special tools required for the maintenance crews to carry out scheduled tasks during the night shift. Planning and scheduling the heavy (C-Check) maintenance program including monitoring of the progress. The updating and control of the SACAA Approved Maintenance Schedule to include amendments received from the Bombardier. The Auditing of the Aircraft Maintenance Management Program for correctness and compliance. The supervision of 9 members of staff from Data capturers to Maintenance and Material planners.

Oryx Helicopter - Product System Support Manager Lt Col.; Staffed as Oryx Helicopter Product System Support Manager (PSSM) to manage the fleet of 50 Oryx helicopters on behalf of the Director Helicopter Systems. Scope of responsibilities include: Fleet system Configuration Management, Fleet maintenance management, resource and material management, contract negotiation and building of relationships with partners in industry and other State Departments.Increased availability by 10% within one month of taking over.Initiated and completed the correct storage of airframes removed from service.

Helicopter Logistic Support Lt Col.; Transferred and staffed as the Staff Officer Helicopter Logistic Support to manage all common helicopter support equipment and facilities. Scope of responsibilities included: The management of facility repair and maintenance programme, Ground Support & Test Equipment maintenance & calibration programme, Management of repair and maintenance of all mission equipment, Vehicle fleet management and replacement programme, Auditing of all helicopter squadron technical personnel competencies and training, Auditing of squadron spares store and Management of the directorates own running budget. In addition to the previous responsibilities, I was also responsible for the integration of the Super Lynx 300 Mk 64 into the SAAF on the technical side. Transferred to 19 Squadron AFB Louis Trichardt and served as a Flight Engineer on Alouette III and Oryx helicopters.
