Current role is leading the 3D battery analysis at Jaguar Land Rover providing insight and design guidance for JLR’s next generation of electric vehicles. Responsible for the delivery of analysis and method development for traction batteries. Primarily assessing designs, from concept to release, for thermally driven attributes but also evaluating the designs for legislative requirements like: pan fire, thermal propagation and humidity. In addition to the analytical delivery the role entails:•Management of a team based over a number of JLR locations. •Development of DVP for each programme.•Running virtual series loops through design and development phase. •CAE strategy planning and prioritisation for the D&R team. •Integration with JLR Virtual Hub, CFD cluster, function and vehicle teams.•License renewal, usage and prediction.•Pier reviewing external suppliers analysis.•Assist conceptual design and problem resolution. •First line reporting to senior manager.•Authoring method documentation (Test Procedures)

Responsible for the development, and improvement, of the power- train thermo-fluids team’s CAE capabilities.•Leading a small team for process development and capability improvement.•Maintain CAE capability plan and funding.•Managing prevent recurrence and lessons learnt activities.•Lead best practice sessions for CAE tools.•Identify and deliver efficiency improvements for all processes.

CAE Analyst Senior Engineer Performing programme CFD analysis for:•Exhaust after-treatment, urea sprays, pressure drop, turbo- charger & wastegate impact.•Cooling systems, conjugate heat transfer through heads and blocks, cooled exhaust manifolds, boiling.•Combustion, fuel injection optimisation, Diesel & gasoline. •Lubrication, crankcase windage, oil pick up and hangup, piston cooling jets.
