Globally responsible for the Pursuit and Development of new Electric Steering Programs for Nexteer Automotive. Job role includes the management and coordination of engineering teams in multiple regions with the expressed goal of winning new or maintaining existing Electric Steering business. Tasks include two key elements of winning new business with Customers in the America’s, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. The first focuses on the development of technical & business proposals. The second emphasizes the design and installation of application specific Electric Steering systems across a wide range of vehicles.

Globally responsible for the implementation of Electric Power Steering Programs on various NA, European, and Asia Pacific OEM’s. The job entailed management of the global cross functional teams needed to develop and implement high value enterprise Electric Steering System programs, from initial pursuit thru start of production; including Program Financials (+$2B revenue, +90M budget), Timing, Quality, Capital & Budget management, and adherence to all aspects of Customer requirements; Customer and Supplier interface; Coordination of product design and testing, equipment purchase, facility readiness, and product submission.

Globally responsible for the Design and Development of Halfshafts for Daewoo Motors-Eastern Europe, Opel-Poland, and Chrysler Trucks. Additionally, served as the Product Liaison for the European Technical Center and provided engineering support for the Driveline specific and general facility start-up of the Tychy Poland manufacturing facility. Tasks included an expanded Program management role; Customer Engineering Interface; Design, development, and release of Halfshafts; and Coordination of product testing, and the technical support and coordination of various General Motors International Operations.

International assignment with duties subdivided between management of the European Driveline Engineering Staff and Driveline Project Manager for the Saginaw Division European Technical Center. Engineering responsibilities included management of the Product Design Engineers, Validation Test Engineers, and CAD designers (hiring, training & development, supervision, planning, budgets) and Program management oversight for various European OEM’s. European Tech Center responsibilities included implementation of the Driveline Test Laboratory, including machine specification and purchase; Capital management; Engineering systems implementation; CAD system specification & implementation along with a wide range of general support required in any new facility start-up.

International assignment with product design responsibility for European Halfshaft Customers and the lead support for the new Driveline Technical facility. Product Engineering roles included primary Customer Interface, Program management, and the development and release of Driveline systems. Additional responsibilities included Test Machine Specification and Purchase related to the Design Center start-up and in-Plant Product Engineering support for both Driveline systems and manual Rack & Pinion gears.
