I am privileged to be volunteering at an important community service, the Library of Accessible Media for Pennsylvanians (LAMP). LAMP is a program funded through the Pennsylvania Office of Commonwealth Libraries and administered throughout the state of Pennsylvania by Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh and the Free Library of Philadelphia. The goal of LAMP is to provide library services that are more discoverable, accessible, and inclusive to Pennsylvania’s growing print-disabled population. Patrons of LAMP are those who cannot access standard print due to blindness, visual, cognitive, or reading disabilities, and to those who are unable to hold a book or turn its pages. LAMP in turn circulates over 1.5 million titles in accessible formats like digital, digital download, Braille, print/Braille, large-print and Audio-described DVDs to Pennsylvanians.

Responsible for shaping the overall global vision, roadmap, and strategies for the iMedical Search platform, and working with other functions, regions, and IT for its successful execution (iMedical Search provides quick and easy access to high-value scientific evidence by Medical Affairs and R&D groups worldwide). Identifies key priorities and strategic objectives, and works closely with key stakeholders to achieve alignment as well as secure resources in order to successfully achieve the defined objectives. Provides global leadership in the continued enhancement of the platform.

Provides global leadership in the efficient and effective management of the knowledge assets of the Scientific and Medical Affairs organizations. Leverages core expertise in search capabilities, ontologies/taxonomies, content management, and collaborative technologies to improve the means by which Scientific and Medical Affairs find, discover, and share their key knowledge assets across all pharmaceutical therapeutic areas.
