• Lead a wide variety areas in the Freire Schools network office (which oversees four charter schools with 2000+ students across Philadelphia and Delaware) including: supervising school principals, developing emerging leaders across the network, and overseeing Human Resources, Talent Recruitment, IT, and other operations for the network.

• During the COVID-19 pandemic, led the transition to hybrid and virtual learning across Freire Schools. Developed strategic priorities as chair of the Technology Steering Committee and facilitated network professional development to train staff on core shifts. Additionally, supervised and coached several heads of school and served on the network executive leadership team.

• Lead courses in core instructional skills for first-year master’s of education degree candidates. Taught both general instructional courses and secondary ELA-specific courses.• Years teaching at Relay: June 2015 - June 2017, and Aug 2021 - June 2023

Selected Recognition: • Awarded the Delaware Charter School Network’s 2020 "Impact Award," the network’s annual award for a charter school principal and given to “a visionary for significant educational improvements who inspires others.”• Awarded Teach for America Delaware’s 2017 Excellence in School Leadership Award, given annually to a principal “who demonstrates exceptional leadership and commitment to education.” Responsibilities and Outcomes: • Founded the school, growing it from inception to 480 students in 8th to 12th grade over five years. • Individual responsibilities include strategic vision and direction of school, budget oversight, curriculum and instruction, hiring and evaluation of 50+ staff and three assistant heads of school, operations, professional development, regulatory and legal compliance, fundraising, and community relations.• Within those five years, the school surpassed state averages for academic growth on ELA and math, and in most years doubled or tripled state growth averages. Successfully led the school's charter to be renewed in 2019 for a second five-year term.

• Worked with Head of Academics to lead teaching staff of thirty teachers. Responsibilities included instructional vision, teacher coaching, curriculum, teacher evaluation, and professional development.

Selected Recognition:• Named Howard Teacher of the Year in 2014.• Winner of a 2013 Delaware Talent Cooperative Award ($10,000 award) for excellence in teaching and with 92% of students meeting their individual growth targets. In last two years teaching, 99% of students reached proficiency. • Appointed English Department Chair from 2012 - 2014. Rewrote and implemented new district English curriculum with other chairs. Howard overall grew from 46% proficient in reading in 2010 to 82% proficient in 2014.
