Since starting in the electrical trade at the tender age of 10 where I helped my father with house rewires, I knew this was something I wanted to do in my career as I enjoyed it so much. At the age of 15 I was introduced to a guy called David Carbine, who was an amazing inspiration to me. This guy knew everything there was to know about plumbing and heating. I worked with him at weekends when not at school and started to love what I did. When leaving school at 16, and moving to part time with Dave, I went college and gained my electrical installation and testing certificates. I continued with Dave full time for 3 years and gained a wealth of knowledge in the plumbing and heating industry. By the age of 21 I decided to set up my own business carrying out electrical and plumbing works. Through this, I gradually took on more and more trades and learnt so much. After a few poor life decisions, at the age of 35 me and my partner had a child and I couldn't deal with the stress of running the business anymore.A friend of mine introduced me to someone that would change my life forever. Ken Davies who was contracts manager at C K Group Services took me on as a multi trade engineer. He knew I had more potential, so after a year or so I was at a desk as labour manager. Unfortunately, a few things changed in the company and I decided to leave. I moved to a technical supervisor role at Prime Time Boilers and where I stayed for 18 months.I kept in touch with Ken who offered me a position at his new company, Able Property Services Ltd. In 18 months I've gone from working on the tools to now being made Operations Director.I feel that I am in the perfect place now and love the people I work with.I deal with some fantastic clients daily, some of whom have become good friends.Looking forward to the next year ahead
