Paul T. Edgar, Esq., has a labor arbitration practice handling both public and private sector cases. He is on the national panel of the American Arbitration Association, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts standing ADR panel, and the panel of the Labor Relations Connection. Two Governors appointed him to consecutive terms as the Chairman of the former Massachussetts Labor Relations Commission. He was the Director of Human Resources for the Massachusetts Trial Court and the Labor Counsel to the Chief Justice for Administration and Management. He was also an Assistant Corporation Counsel for Labor Relations for the City of Boston, and he is an Honorary Chief of the Boston Fire Department.Currently a member of the Boston Bar Association, he served as both the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Public Sector Labor Law Section of the Massachusetts Bar Association. He authored the Judges and Clerks chapter of the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) book Crime and Consequence: The Collateral Effects of Criminal Conduct, and he has had decisions selected for publication in the American Arbitration Association's Labor Award Reporter.He received his law degree from Boston College Law School and his undergraduate degree in history from Lafayette College.He is a combat veteran of Vietnam, having served as a field artillery officer with the 101st Airborne Division. He was awarded the Bronze Star and the South Vietnamese Honor Medal. He is currently a volunteer companion at the Veterans Administration hospital in Brockton.
