Owner operators are responsible for safely driving large cargo trucks over long distances while adhering to all traffic laws and U.S. DOT Regulation. They are also involved with loading and unloading cargo, planning routes, interacting with dispatchers and logging all trucking activities. Drivers monitor wear and tear and maintain their equipment to ensure optimum functionality. Owner operators must perform business-related duties as well, establishing a solid pipeline of work to maximize profitability. Other business duties include accounting responsibilities, such as submitting tax information and calculating fixed and variable business expenses to determine net income.

Transporting crude oil from various well leases in Eastern Montana and Western North Dakota to LACT (Lease Automatic Custody Transfer) and Rail Transload Facilities in Western North Dakota. Physical ability to climb stairs multiple times per shift required. Install and remove tire chains as needed due to changing weather conditions. And some maintenance on semi-truck.

Measures crude oil in accordance with GLPT measurement policy at the lease. Performs field measurement duties; tank level measurement by gauge line, S&W determination by sampling, sample analysis, and custody transfer documentation (ticketing).Drives trucks that transports crude oil from the lease to the unload station. Unloads crude oil at the appropriate station in accordance with established operations and safety procedures. Performs routine maintenance and inspections to assigned vehicle and equipment. Complies with all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and GLPT company vehicle policies.Maintains current CDL and Medical Exam card. Complete and turn in paperwork in at timely manor as required by GLPT.Properly represent company to customers and general public. The primary function of this position is to drive a commercial motor vehicle; load and deliver petroleum products in an environmentally safe manner and complete all paperwork on a daily basis. This position will adhere to all local, state and federal laws governing the operation of a commercial motor vehicle. The position will drive and off-load (all product is pumped off) in inclement weather, on small sometimes very tight loading and unloading locations and is required to drive on unpaved and unimproved roads to make deliveries.

As a Frac Acid Operator Assistant I, your job is to learn basic safety and repair procedures using processes defined for this job. You will learn how to perform pre and post job inspections, perform and complete preventative maintenance procedures, and maintain support equipment. You can also expect to rig up and down service line equipment at the well site.

Reports to and receives assignments, instructions, and direction from the Foreman or General Foreman. Reads and interprets instructions and plans work activities. Operates company and military vehicles to move materials, tools, personnel, and equipment to and from work locations in support of construction and maintenance activities and/or deliver operating materials and supplies from one warehouse to another for the US Army during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Completes tasks with vehicle assigned in a timely and safe manner. Ensures vehicle is maintained in a serviceable and clean condition. Conducts vehicle inspections, loads and unloads, and washes vehicles. Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment.

Performs all duties in accordance with Logistics policies and procedures, and complies with all federal, state, and local regulations for the secure and safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle (CMV).Understands and carries out all security procedures to include not ever leaving a load unattended.
