Paul Ellis is a Senior Director of Operations. Colleagues describe him as "While working for Nestle USA (NUSA), I first began working with Paul Ellis around 2010. I was the Continuous Improvement (CI) leader for the Beverage business where Paul was filling various operational, and CI roles at the Iowa Factory. Later after I expanded my role to lead the CI effort for NUSA, Paul grew his responsibilities as the CI leader of the northern region supporting approximately 8-10 factories along their CI journey. The primary task we all had was to build skills in Strategic planning, Problem-Solving and other continuous improvement methodologies in all NUSA facilities and supporting business functions in order to deliver the operational goals for Safety, Quality, Cost reduction, and Production throughput. Paul’s operational experience gave him credibility teaching these skills and techniques, but his patience and his willingness to work with folks on the factory floor enhanced his impact on results. His customers routinely recognized Paul’s willingness to go the extra mile. I often had to expand Paul’s responsibilities and he was always able to adjust his approach and deliver what was needed. What I admire most about Paul is his desire for personal growth and development. He continually would seek growth and development opportunities, and he would regularly seek feedback from me and his peers in order to stretch and improve himself.
