Efficiently and timely conducting a research project on winter pruning and its effects on grapevine growth and yield with experimental trials located in two main New Zealand wine grape growing regions: Marlborough and Canterbury. Key tasks include: winter cane pruning, monitoring bud break, inflorescence development, flowering, leaf area, berry development and maturation (berry weight, soluble solids, Titratable acidity, pH), harvesting and vine balance.One article has been published, another has been submitted and under reviewed and a third is getting ready for submission.

Successfully co-managed and co-oversaw the regional advisory service resulting in greater adoption of novel technical, financial and economic management techniques by farm businesses and farmers’ organizations.Regularly organized quarterly workshops for the dissemination of agricultural results encouraging the attendance and participation of 85% of farmers’ organizations in the advisory service as well as the successfully coordinating the edition and publication of four Divisional and one Regional magazines on agricultural performances. Consistently liaised with agriculture partners (Banks, suppliers, processors, supermarkets, NGO, etc.) to provide economic, financial and technical information on agriculture production and commodities in the Region facilitating farmers’ access to credits and other financial products.

Successfully completed a research project on a precision agriculture technology to improve nitrogen fertilizer efficiency on cereal crops. Research project report awarded the Bryan Memorial Prize.Tutored a Master student on the course Water and Land Resource Management, which she successfully passed.Passionately delivered a 2-hour lecture in the course Precision Agriculture stimulating the participation of over 50% of the class.

Actively assisted senior researcher in performing literature surveys and reviews, collecting, collating and analyzing experimental data on banana production, fertilization and multiplication.Successfully transferred banana plantlets fertilization techniques to 50 rural farmers and assisted them in identifying and overcoming production constraints contributing to improve banana production and farmers’ revenues.

Ran and successfully completed a research project on the effects of three types and five rates of fertilizers on banana plantlets growth and development. Designed a technical guide based on research results which was later used to transfer the plantlet fertilisation technology to banana plantlets growers of Cameroon and other Central Africa countries.
