I managed the tennis department in Destin, Florida. I was responsible for the inventory, ordering and handling of all tennis supplies from shoes, racquets, clothing, accessories, balls, etc. I also was responsible for the stringing of all tennis racquets. I developed relationships with all of the major tennis reps such as Wilson, Prince, Volkl, Head,etc. I worked with the Destin Racquet Club and, more specifically, the tennis pro, Scott Gilmore. He was very helpful in sending some of his students to see me and he would recommend a particular type of racquet and I would assist in getting the right racquet to them. I would also send customers who came into the store and looking for lessons or a tennis match to Scott. I was responsible for improving tennis sales in our store from about 7% of store sales to close to 18%. I was responsible for bringing the best products on the market to our store.
