Cio Roto-Rooter Wichita KsWichitarotorooter.Com Sep 1992 - PresentWichita KansasRoto-Rooter is a Franchise in Wichita KS. Our parents purchased the company in 1960. Dad passed in 1992, just 2 months after I quit my job at Fountain to join my sister Jane and him in JaRay. Since then, I've taken care of the computer and IT needs of our family company. Another sister, Rita Rooter, officially became the President when mom passed away. The rest of the siblings (7 of us) support Rita in any way she wants. We are extremely blessed as a family and love our Roto-Rooter family.

Chief Operating OfficerJaray Software Sep 1992 - Nov 2018JaRay Software was acquired by ServiceTitan in 2018. It served most of the larger franchises for Roto-Rooter as well as other plumbing, hvac, home repair, and other field service companies in the US and Canada. JaRay started in 1975 when my dad and I decided to computerize our own companies. Dad had the Wichita Roto-Rooter franchise and I had an office coffee company. We each purchased 3 TRS-80 Model 1 Radioshack computers. We added 5 Megabyte hard drives and Epson MX-80 printers. We each had one in our homes, personal office, and accounting offices. We got my sister, Jane, to write our programs. In 1985, Dad and Jane sold the system to another Roto-Rooter franchise and then others found out about the program. I joined dad and Jane in 1992 and a couple of months later, our dad passed away suddenly. Jane and I put JaRay on hold to help mom run the Roto-Rooter, but continued to develop JaRay for our own use and to help our customers. In 1999, we hosted our first system in Sydney Australia. In 2001 I built a server farm (Famhost) and we incorporated JaRay and Famhost as separate companies. The system would pop up a customer's records (in the mid 90's) and we started attaching phone calls to the customer records in 2015. We enabled our field techs to write forms using Anoto technology in 2005 and converted the form input to database data. In 1999 we started adding GPS mapping so that the dispatchers could see visually both the trucks and jobs on the same map. When we transitioned our customers to ServiceTitan, I kept Famhost and the GPS/IoT technology. -

Laboratory TechnicianSedgwick County Sheriff'S Office 1965 - 1968Wichita, Kansas, United StatesI was in high school when the Sheriff (my uncle) asked me to help them get caught up on printing their mug shots. From there, I started taking care of the mug and road patrol cameras. (Graflex 4x5 Black & White with flash bulbs). Finger print analysis training. Things were much simpler in the 60's. For a short time, while going to college, I was the only lab guy and helped the lab transition to color slide photography and processing. I did a little under cover work and photo evidence gathering - enough to have some good stories.
