K and H is a vehicle to explore and implement design that is marketable and sustainable, focused on, but not limited to furniture design. K and H has a growing portfolio of furniture designs alongside a small but sophisticated production capability that includes both traditional and automated processes. After a soft launch in 2019, K and H allocated funds to marketing in early 2020 just before the beginning of the Covid Pandemic in North America. At that time planned launch program was paused due to health risks and supply uncertainties, this being possible due to the very low overhead of the initial production setup. In the time since, outlying issues in the production setup have been resolved and new production capabilities have been acquired and put online. A new focused business plan for has been created incorporating the lessons from the 2019 soft launch. We are in a better position than ever to efficiently create, market, produce, and deliver innovative designs in 2022 and beyond.

I developed a general education course on architecture in the flipped classroom format. I incorporated a broad historical and cultural survey with assignments focused on the use of sketching as a tool for visual thinking and explanation. This course can be taught either in person or online. The flipped format allows for more focused activity and discussion based learning during each online live session.
