Assist with management and operations of 24 tank vessels. Crowley is one of the largest independent operators of petroleum tankers and articulated tug / barges in the United States. The majority of the vessels are engaged in the Jones Act trade, but a number of the vessels also trade internationally. Crowley was one of the first U.S. flag operators to envision the potential for LNG as fuel. In support of this rapidly developing segment of the industry, I worked with the Crowley LNG group to develop LNG bunkering services and short haul bulk transportation for the U.S. and Caribbean areas. As part of this effort, I participated in meetings with the USCG sponsored Chemical Transportation Advisory Committee (CTAC) and Towing Safety Advisory Committee (TSAC).

As a marine consultant, I provided a variety of services, including: - Onboard safety and process management evaluation and training.- Shipboard safety assessments and condition surveys, pre-vetting inspections.- ISM internal audits, system review and upgrades.- Onboard liaison with U.S. regulatory authorities for boardings, inspections and investigations.- Regulatory compliance assistance.- Facilitator for emergency response training courses and events.

Missions and accomplishments included:- SS CURTISS for Operation Pacific Provider – in support of USMC Aviation Units. - SS CAPE INSCRIPTION, ISABEL AND INTREPID in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.- Organized and coordinated shipboard training events on SS CAPE INSCRIPTION with various agencies, including DHS, USCG, USMC, FBI and local law enforcement agencies.
