Renaissance provides a large education analytics-based publishing, sharing and assessment platform. Dev teams are expected to be “T-shaped” teams, able to contribute to any area of the platform, with some consideration that previous experience improved velocity.During various sprints, my contributions have included: the frontend for teachers to import spreadsheets of data into the system, a WPF-based test utility to verify backend work, augment a JS search component to support a new category of queries, add a new resource type to the publishing pipeline (a rabbitMQ, mongo, solr and alfresco solution). More recently we've focused on migrating selected big-data computations off the existing HBase and Java batch implementation to a C# micro-service real time data pipeline we've designed and built in AWS.

Consulted and developed custom Saas- and Paas-based solutions for multiple clients integrating such platforms as Salesforce, Zuora, and Netsuite.Co-built a sophisticated CPQ (“customize, price, quote”) web application that connected elements from multiple platforms into a single integrated experience for sales agents. Written in C#, ASP.NET, Javascript, Knockout.Designed and developed an independent web service to render invoices to PDF. Necessary to fill a gap in existing invoicing solutions, leveraging several open source technologies. It queried the data out of the billing system, collated it according to the given business rules, exported as both Excel and PDF, and uploaded to Netsuite. Written in C#.

Created and extended multiple web-based applications for the HP Vancouver Imaging Team. These applications replaced older and difficult-to-use internal proprietary desktop apps and utilities. The results improved the dev experience by taking advantage of better integration and central management that web apps generally offer over desktop apps. Designed and maintained several full-stack solutions that included back end work (provisioning virtual server space, configuring http servers like apache and node, databases, both SQL and mongodb, and leveraging high-level frameworks like django and express), and front-end work (the sites used common javascript frameworks like angular and jquery, and were styled with technologies like Bootstrap, LESS and Sass).

Added new features to the embedded software managing the image pipeline in most HP inkjet products. Work sometimes required different environments (single image vs multiple apps on embedded linux). Developed internal tools to facilitate this work, including two different compilers, and several import/export filters to ease interoperability. Primary development environment is linux.

Developed or extended multiple color and imaging applications used internally throughout HP to create and evaluate printer imaging pipelines, including ICC profiles for high end devices, and gamut mapping resources for inkjet devices at all levels.Developed a high-quality image processing and visualization framework based on industry standard imaging formats and HP proprietary languages. Productized a variety of HP's image enhancement technologies (such as contrast improvement, Red eye removal for humans or pets, general as well as adaptive sharpening, smoothing, upscaling, various noise removal approaches) for multiple languages and platforms (Java/Web, C#, C++/mac & windows drivers, iOS).
