In particular: - I established strong and trusting relationships with senior UK and overseas stakeholders, contractors and officials. - I led a strategic review of the investment models and regulatory framework for CO2 infrastructure, developing evidence based options for public consultation having successfully delivered three procurements totalling 200k- I drafted four statutory instruments to correct regulatory deficiencies due to Brexit, steering legal input to ensure policy objectives were met. I robustly and sensitively handled relationships with the devolved administrations, clearly communicating complex technical information to reach agreement and ensure a consistent UK-wide approach to licensing remains post-Brexit. - I drove forward preparation and publication of a strategic plan agreed by five governments. I led drafting and structured the plan to highlight the benefits of cross-border infrastructure in the North Sea. With reference to the strategic plan, and lessons learned from failed funding calls, I successfully lobbied the EC for improvements to the selection process of a €5.35bn development fund. This resulted in the first CCS schemes qualifying for funding, including two UK based schemes, one of which was subsequently awarded €3.2m development funding. Show less
