I am a seasoned Manager with almost 40 years of experience in the metal industry. 14 of which are in management where I have learned and applied the principles of Lean Manufacturing, 5S and ISO standards. I bring to the table a high energy positive attitude of continuous improvement, team building and problem solving. I entered the industry at the age of 15 years working 3 hours a day after school at a local machine shop. At the time I didn't plan to make metal working my career but fate stepped in and seem to groom me for the business. After high school I worked at Carolina Steel where I learned material, processing and distribution of almost every type of metal sold.My subsequent jobs granted me the opportunity to master the art of set-up and operation of CNC bending/forming , sheet roll, CNC turret presses, CNC plasma table, , CNC and manual tube benders, CNC and manual timesavers, auto saws, Lathes, manual milling machines, screw machines, tap machines, welding, Oxy/Acetylene torch, Cold saws and band saws.My relentless drive to learn every aspect of a process and to make it as efficient as possible led me to the management side of the business where I took pride in doing just that.I recently added some Engineering skills (3D modeling and CAD layouts) to my "Versitility List" where I hope to use my background and experience to better serve the industry.
