Develop community and business outreach programs by developing relationships with lenders, investors, community leaders, PCDIC staff, and city of Phoenix Community and Economic Development staff, including Neighborhood Services, and Workforce Development teams. Research best practices, discover new methods, and advocate policy changes to create programs and products offering the greatest impact to low-income constituents. Serve as ambassador and liaison for business owners and nonprofits seeking access to the myriad of resources available through the city of Phoenix. Established key relationship with Arizona’s largest nonprofit provider of scholarships for PCDIC’s scholarship program, nonprofit lending program, and PCDIC’s cash investment accounts. Served as lead for PCDIC’s 2017 New Markets Tax Credit application. Developed comprehensive database for AZ nonprofits. Originated relationship with regional commercial bank for PCDIC’s Small Business Lending program. Since 2002, PCDIC has received $263 million in NMTC allocations which have been deployed in 29 projects, which include hospitality, retail, industrial, commercial offices and medical facilities.

Culminating an almost three year effort, and requiring the participation and approval of 53 municipalities, helped establish DCN as contractor for two newly formed collateral support programs, the $13.2 million Wyoming Smart Capital Network and $3.4 million Red River Corridor Fund. Served as Program Manager through the application process and initial launch phase, garnered consensus among a myriad of stakeholders, and stood up the programs by building a network of participating banks and lenders as well as underwriting the initial transactions. From 2006 to 2010, served as Enterprise Manager of DCN's entrepreneurial services to the National Science Foundation, an opportunity spawned by the businesses processes and network/ecosystem of stakeholders created by the WBT. Administered and was responsible for providing guidance and technical assistance to over 500 private companies receiving a SBIR Phase I proof-of-concept Award as part of a 3-year $2 Million contract. From 2002 to 2011, co-founded and served as CEO of the WBT Innovation Marketplace, a global event and new concept in technology transfer for federally funded R&D. Produced in cooperation with the Federal Laboratory Consortium for Technology Transfer (representing over 700 federal labs), the event quickly moved to Arlington, Texas and became the centerpiece economic development event drawing national attention to the North Texas region. Secured sponsors, developed content, secured speakers and managed a $400K annual budget.
