Working to develop, support and maintain an effective communication strategy for the PFEW.

Working as part of a nationwide team, I am responsible for media training and engagement work across the United Kingdom.Drawing together my skills in the Digital Creative and Broadcast Journalism sectors, I specialise in devising and delivering content suitable for both the newsroom and the classroom. This may include media / journalism training or sometimes mobile project work within the community. Such projects include public awareness campaigns on issues such as health or domestic abuse to careers projects in schools, colleges and universities. My work also includes standard news reporting across the Bauer Media Network, usually focused across the north of the UK.I have over ten years experience in mobile working for Bauer Media, usually on custom refitted buses and am skilled in the production of Audio / Video (incl Editing) and Photography.

I worked primarily for BBC Radio Manchester as Broadcast Journalist on a single decker media bus. My responsibilities included both live and pre-recorded progamme inserts along with the associated planning required for each bus visit. Such visits were open to members of the public and I would record and produce audio for broadcast as part of a radio series called 'Word on the Street'.In 2004 I began to work as the regular studio producer on 'Sunday Breakfast' along with other programmes.In 2016, I worked on a nationwide project for BBC Radio 5 Live (Young Commentator of the Year). This included content creation for broadcast along with social media management and project delivery around various UK towns and cities.In 2018, I returned to where it all began! Once again working with some familiar faces (and new ones too) at BBC Radio Manchester.

My roles and responsibilities included devising and delivering media and communication strategies for a wide range of community impacting initiatives. This involves fundraising, social media usages and liaison with local and national press.

My work centred around Radio. MMP devised and facilitate community broadcasting, predominantly for schools and this also involved working with established media companies and broadcasters.My role as Creative Director was to work on the planning, preparation and delivery of content with clients but also to support our growing platform of broadcasters with whom we worked. This was done both in the studio environment but also working mobile in pop-up studios and media buses. In 2009, I oversaw the development and launch of 'MMP Broadcast' which is a part of MMP ltd. Its focus is to create specific content from training events and community projects which is suitable for broadcast in accordance with a client or station brief.As part of the MMP team we enjoyed award winning success including at the Bauer Media awards in 2010 and other industry awards for innovation and outreach (aimhigher).

My role included the oversight of a small call centre team responsible for providing end-user support to individuals and corporate clients for one of the biggest IT suppliers in the UK.My work also included specialist support for Toshiba and Apple equipment a responsibility for which I received vocational training.Aside from my management responsibilities, I also took on protracted technical disputes and represented the company in the Small Claims Court.

My first voluntary foray into broadcasting and radio.Standing in for a friend, I was soon smitten with the whole radio format. Its power to hold listeners and to create vivid pictures for an audience, what started as a stand-in, soon developed much further. In fact, it's still developing to this day.
