Albi Drinks Cooler/Dispenser• Involved in the overall and detailed design elements of an electro-mechanical self-service Drinks Cooler/Dispenser for still and carbonated soft drinks incorporating a small R290 refrigeration system. Albi is currently the smallest equipment footprint on the market and designed for low throughput accounts with a simple “plug and play” concept that requires no backroom package that other coolers require. This reduces installation and set-up costs.• Used PTC Creo to design all plastic injection and sheet metal components. The injection moulded parts incorporated a DFA “snap-fit” method to improve labour time.• Created photo realistic images and line drawings using Keyshot for presentations and user manual.• Rapid prototyping via plastic machined parts for fully functional development units used as customer approvals samples and field trial units.• Created 2D Engineering Drawings for all plastic injection parts to compliment 3D files used for production tooling.• Liaised regularly with the Chinese plastic injection tooling/component supplier during their design and manufacture following up with signing off all injection moulded parts during first tooling run on-site in China.• Worked closely with a multi-disciplinary team to agree all required component specifications and smooth introduction to Manufacturing.• Designed additional plastic injection parts and liaised with suppliers to develop a capacitive touch branding panel for the user interface.
