I am responsible for energy pricing and forecasting activities, whilst continuously optimising the cost and performance of our smart grid systems to maximise value and sustainability for our customers & stakeholders.

I created SmartGrid propositions that accelerates our national net-zero transition, reduces local grid constraints, and drives business value to all our clients and stakeholders.

Built the complete service to help people decarbonise their homes and reduce their energy demand through the delivery and management of EV charge points, solar PV, batteries and electric heating. Intelligent management is provided by our software platform, FlexiGrid, which controls and aggregates distributed energy assets to operate as a ‘Virtual Power Plant’ allowing us to stabilise the grid, maximise the use of renewable energy, and ultimately keep the lights on.I own and shape the proposition strategy for the Home Energy Solutions business, ensuring alignment with the wider business. Developing industry leading propositions that combine elements of digital customer experience, in-home service delivery, hardware and software technology integrations, and financial products.

Headed the Technical & Commercial functions for Project REMeDY - ‘Revolution in Energy Market Design’ (www.netzeroremedy.uk). The programme was part-funded by UK Government and delivered under the Prospering for the Energy Revolution Fund administered by Innovate UK.I led a large multi-disciplined team across Industry, Local Government, and Academia to develop new ways to deploy finance into low carbon assets, specifically focusing on micro-grid schemes. Activities included:• Creating novel business models and investment proposals centred around low carbon technologies• Engagement with industry representatives including OFGEM and Policymakers.• Technical modelling & system design• Demand Side Response & ESO Markets• Optimising settlement pathways to unlock value and create grid flexibility• Strategic sustainability management• Project management• Financial & investment modelling • Commercial awareness & senior stakeholder engagement

Grew the department’s contract value under management from £290mn to £450mn in less than two years. Responsible for the strategic planning and operational delivery of SMS's Energy Markets & Sustainability departments. Oversaw an energy portfolio of over 20,000 UK supplies. Provided risk managed flex & fixed energy procurement; OFGEM renewables management; and market consultancy services. Lead the development of Smart Grid Technology and Decentralised Energy Systems.
