As a leader in university continuing education and lifelong learning, I work in a complex multi-stakeholder environment developing relationships and strategic partnerships with university faculties and administration, industry leaders, professional and accrediting associations, and the community. My central purpose is to create responsive educational programming that serves the diverse and rapidly evolving lifelong learning needs of the twenty-first century, cultivating intellectual, social and economic growth. An accomplished higher education professional and champion of continuing and lifelong learning with 18 years of progressive leadership experience, I have worked through a range of organizations, including the BBC, a higher ed. philanthropic foundation, and universities in the U.S., U.K. and Canada. Throughout my professional life I have remained dedicated to empowering individuals and organizations and connecting educational institutions to the needs of the economy and society.Committed to the advancement of Higher and Continuing Education as fields of practice and of study, I serve on the Executive Committee of the Ontario Council for University Lifelong Learning ( OCULL), the Research Committee of the Canadian Association of University Continuing Education (CAUCE), and on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Society for the Study of Higher Education (CSSHE).
