Teaching marketing strategy to second-year Business Studies undergraduates.

I served in various strategic roles at Imperial Brands PLC over an 18-year career, culminating in my position as Global Senior Brand Manager. In this role, I was instrumental in growing the global Roll Your Own (RYO) tobacco sector, strengthening Imperial's market position through comprehensive brand strategies for key global brands like Drum and Golden Virginia. I developed and implemented innovative communication strategies, including dark market techniques, and provided full mix support to global markets.Earlier, as Global Brand Manager for the West brand, I led the strategic planning and implementation that kept Imperial Tobacco's biggest brand relevant and appealing through innovative packaging and communication strategies. My tenure as Brand Manager for the UK Division saw the hugely successful launch of the Richmond brand, which quickly became the second-largest in the UK, and the rise of Lambert & Butler to the top market position. Across these roles, I consistently delivered impactful brand strategies, from new product launches to full-scale marketing and budgetary planning.My Imperial career started in 1993 in sales covering the west London area before my first marketing position took me to the Cigar Division to undertake a newly created market analyst role.
