Developed extensive expertise in substantive auditing of loans and advances, IFRS 9 and 16, revenue, expenditure and purchases, impairment assessment, investments, taxation, creditors and trade debtors. Preparing and review of client financial statements and audit opinions and presenting for partner sign off. Reviewing of statutory accounts for compliance with the IFRS requirements, Company policies, Kenya Revenue Authority, Central Bank of Kenya prudential guidelines and other regulatory bodies in Eastern Africa. In charge of field work assignments, reporting to the manager and the partner, planned audits and ensured that the teams were motivated and accomplished the targets within the set deadlines. Appraise junior staff’s performance, flag out and recommend improvement strategies on areas of weakness. Write accurate and precise management reports that conform to client specific reporting frameworks as well as local and international financial reporting guidelines. Represent management in client’s board meetings and negotiations on engagements terms of reference and other stakeholders’ meetings. Coaching junior team members and reviewing their work to ensure that the audit work is completed according to the auditing standards.
