Since 1997, I've developed and maintained CAD and graphics engines for a metrology application. The CAD engine included importing CAD data from external sources, performing modeling operations on the CAD model (line-geometry intersection, plane-geometry intersection, point projection), surface tessellation, feature extraction from the geometry, GD&T extraction, and triangle mesh operations (collision detection).The graphics engine included implementation of a high-performance OpenGL interface, multi-layered transparency using GLSL (OpenGL Shader Language), and graphics window selection.I also developed an OCR library to recognize GD&T on 2D CAD drawings. In addition to utilizing the open-source Tesseract OCR library, the library I created used OpenCL for a high-performance Hough circle-finding algorithm on images.My coding style has a strong emphasis on test-driven development processes. I understand the importance of having code under automated testing and how it allows for faster software development.My coding experience has mostly been in back-end C++ and some C# but I'm a quick and self-motivated learner that can adapt to any coding languages and environments.Much of my coding experience has been working with legacy code bases. This includes refactoring, bug fixing, and putting code under test.
