I am and have always been a teacher. I currently teach clinical mental health skills in higher education, and my forte is supervising clinical students transitioning from academia to the world of work. As my schedule allows, I also enjoy substitute teaching in local high, middle, and elementary schools. As a clinician, I spent many years helping men and women impacted by drug and alcohol addiction build more satisfying lives and I have extensive experience with the corrections population. My career origins were forged working with people of all ages and capabilities in the health and wellness industry. Each of these positions helps people reach goals and explore their unique and individual motivations. My research interests are grounded in issues of men surrounding masculinity. I have Act 33/151, 34, 114 and 126 background clearances.
