For over 24 years, I have been fortunate to work at an organization that allows me to utilize my skills in marketing, sales, business development, project management, customer success, product management, software interface design, and business management. I have balanced my time in business development by building and maintaining relationships with key accounts, leading and training sales, marketing and support staff, as well as managing company websites, creative design for print and digital marketing, copywriting, marketing strategy design and implementation, and new customer acquisition. The different "hats" I've worn in business development for the last 25 years have allowed me to sharpen my skills in product development. I believe the close interaction I've had with end-users provides the best perspective, which I've been able to translate into the software development life cycle. I have worked closely with a variety of professionals and agencies in the US and overseas, in the behavioral health field, including: addictions, mental health, substance use and peer recovery. My primary role in product management was to collaborate with end-users and software engineers, to design features to improve the user experience. This experience over time has led me to direct special information technology projects for North Dakota, Nebraska, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam and the Federated States of Micronesia. Most recently, I assisted in the development of a centralized data system for the state of Nebraska Division of Behavioral Health as well as a professional development system for the state of Arkansas Department of Health. Other successes in my career include my work with People to People. In 2007, I was honored to serve as 1 of 20 professional delegates from the United States to travel to Vietnam and Cambodia to learn and share clinical best practices with behavioral health providers from each of those countries. I have served as the chair of the International Committee for the Association for Addiction Professionals (NAADAC) for 7 years and have presented at multiple industry conferences on utilizing technology in a clinical setting. I also received the Midlands Business Journal 40 Under 40 Award that honors the top 40 entrepreneurs, executives and professionals in the Omaha Metro area. I currently work with a great team at Orion, which with our combined experiences have helped us become a valuable and leading technology resource to the field.
