Paul L. H. Olson serves as President and CEO of nuBridges, Inc., a secure eBusiness software and services provider in Atlanta, Georgia. nuBridges, recently named as one of Georgia’s Mid-Market Top Forty companies, serves 3,000 customers in North America and Europe that depend on nuBridges to encrypt millions of credit card numbers, exchange billions of dollars in B2B transactions, and enable countless business-critical secure file transfers. Prior to taking the helm of nuBridges in 2008, Olson consulted with founder, C. Tycho Howle, during the conception and formation of the business and served on the company’s board of directors since 2006.

When Olson retired from a successful career as a corporate executive in late 2000, he rewired to give his energy and expertise to corporate board work, capital market consulting, and philanthropy. At that time, the president of Bethel University proposed that Olson step-off the institution’s Board of Trustees to provide counsel to the president and leadership team at Bethel University. After accepting the challenge in May 2001, he advised the president on a strategic vision and direction for the institution, provided leadership development for the future, and helped to strengthening the institution’s capital base and endowment. The decision to move from a college to university structure in 2004, the launch and successful conclusion of a six-year $105 million Comprehensive Resource Campaign in 2007, the oversight and growth of the Bethel University Foundation, and the establishment of a thriving MBA program in 2006 are several major accomplishments resulting from Olson’s partnership with the President.

Olson is one of the founding executive officers of Sterling Commerce, Inc., a major pacesetter in global, business-to-business eCommerce. In just over four years from 1996 through 2000, as a President, his leadership contributed to explosive growth resulting in 40,000 customers in 35 countries and revenue topping $600 million; a 3x revenue growth. In early 2000, SBC Communications (AT&T), Inc. acquired the business for $4 billion.

Prior to Sterling Commerce, he joined its predecessor, Sterling Software, Inc. in 1990, as an executive in charge of group strategic planning and acquisitions. During this tenure, he led or played a significant executive role in over a dozen acquisitions and major joint ventures with companies in North America, Europe, Japan, India, and Australia.

In the late 1980's, his executive responsibilities for the $1.6 billion investment advisory business of Michigan National Corporation resulted in a nationally recognized new fixed income product. Under his operational leadership, three investment advisory entities were folded into a holding company.

In 1984, Olson joined the Minnesota Vikings as a front office executive and consulted to the NFL League office. His combined knowledge as a NFL player in the early 70's and business know-how resulted in being an early innovator in the use of information technology for game analysis and strategy.

Under Olson's entrepreneurial guidance at Tymshare, Inc., EDI*Net debuted as the first global eCommerce network services for commercial use in 1981. Olson is recognized as a pioneer of today's eCommerce business-to-business industry.
