• Led the software development and quality assurance teams using Agile methodologies on the Microsoft ASP.NET platform for the FIFA Event Management System (EMS) including modules for accreditation, volunteer, ground transportation, and space and materials logistics. EMS was successfully used for three FIFA World Cup event cycles when previously this functionality had been redeveloped for each event cycle.• Managed the FIFA IT Command Center operations team as a shift manager. An operations shift consisted of approximately 100 staff from all project areas. • Led the consolidation of multiple application hosting sites to a single, global data center cutting hosting costs by almost half.• Proposed and led the creation of the FIFA Travel and Protocol System (TPS) that aggregated delegation travel details from external sources enabling the effective delivery of ground transportation services. • Proposed and led the creation of the first generation FIFA Media Channel that leveraged event content from the public internet site, delivered media specific content to authenticated media users on the public internet site, and allowed the elimination of dedicated media center intranet infrastructure and applications.• Led the introduction of 802.1x authentication to the FIFA IT Solution LAN architecture allowing authorized clients to be connected to the appropriate LAN segments by constituent group. LAN installation costs were reduced significantly by allowing a single platform to serve all groups and removed the need to reconfigure switch ports as staff locations changed. • Served as the FIFA IT Officer for several FIFA World Cup stadium venue teams including the 2010 FIFA World Cup Final. Facilitated the delivery of IT services to the FIFA venue delegation and coordinated the resolution of all IT related issues.
