Areas of expertise: Cellular Senescence, Cell Signaling and Cancer -Participation in multidisciplinary research projects (Cancer, cellular senescence and aging, retinopathies) -Preparation of application for public funding -Maintaining and culturing of cell lines in culture for in vitro experiments -Handling of mouse colonies and animal ethical protocols -Vice-President of the animal care committee of the CRHMR (responsible for evaluation and approval of experimental protocols) -Involvement in all aspects of animal experimentation including tumor inoculations, drug administrations (multiple routes), animal health monitoring, blood samplings, necropsies and tissue processing for analysis -Working non-standard hours from time to time as required by on-going in vivo experiments -Supervision of laboratory work of post-graduate students providing help with the interpretation of results

Areas of expertise: Innate Immunity, Infectious Diseases, Cancer Immunology, Microbiota -Participation in research projects aimed at understanding the leading steps to intestinal inflammation, which can cause chronic diseases, such as Crohn’s disease and colorectal cancer. -Handling of mouse colonies and participation in all aspects of animal experimentation including drug administrations (multiple routes), animal health monitoring, blood samplings, necropsies and tissue processing for analysis. -Working non-standard hours from time to time as required by on-going in vivo experiments.
