Work with people in inpatient treatment. I listen to them when they have complaints or questions and help them to find answers. Conduct rounds on the floors ensuring that the program participants are safe and that there is no contraband within the facility.

I provide spiritual care to men in the Housing Plus, Veterans, and ACTS Training programs as well as providing staff care. This includes writing devotionals, leading Bible studies, teaching classes, providing pastoral care and counseling, and praying with those in need.

I worked with men who were struggling with homelessness and needed some structure in their life as they worked to integrate into society. This included doing interviews with the residents of the UGM to see if the program is a good fit for them and an intake if the program was a good fit for the resident. In addition, I taught life skills classes on the subjects of anger manger management, boundaries, emotional intelligence, financial management, and the Genesis Process for Change. Another role of my position was to evaluate, select, and implement course curriculum as necessary. Another part of the role was to hold the residents of the program accountable in attending class, attending Bible study, saving money to ensure a successful transition into society, and meeting other program requirements. Finally, I created a Standard Operating Procedure manual for the program.

As a Program Director, I supervised a crew of 2 to 6 men each shift where I was responsible for staffing, instruction, coaching, and mentoring. I also lead staff meetings and did program tracking and monitoring of clients.I conducted new client intake which includes a discussion about the client's substance use. This included counseling and ministering to the men in the program, providing spiritual, emotional, and personal support, and pastoral counseling. In addition, I conducted individual and group pastoral counseling with men who are having intrapersonal and interpersonal issues. Additionally, I encouraged the men to build a community of support within the broader community including attending Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, Celebrate Recovery, and finding a home church. Plus, I completed Individual Program Plans with the men in the program as they worked towards independence from their substance use disorder.In addition, I encouraged the men to take their medications, collected urine analysis samples, conducted breathalyzer tests, and encouraged the men to participate in the program while enforcing disciplinary action as necessary. Also, I led Sunday morning bible study and preached on special occasions as needed (e.g., Thanksgiving).

Served as the chaplain for various units within Deaconess Hospital, Inc. where I provided spiritual, emotional, and personal support, plus counseling to patients, their families, and staff. Also, I helped patients with the completion of Advanced Directives. Plus, I led worship service twice a quarter.

Managed the check in process of the guests of the facility, assigning them chores, and ensuring that the chores are completed. Also ensured that the guests followed the rules and regulations of the facility. In addition, I worked with the guests through counseling to achieve long term stability in their life by helping them set and achieve short term and long term goals. Additionally, noting any discrepancies or issues into the computer log to be resolved if the issues were unable to be resolved at the immediate time. Furthermore, I preached in the Recovery portion of the Life Change program as needed.

Served as the chaplain for two units within Baptist Health Louisville, where I provided spiritual, emotional, and personal support, plus counseling to patients, their families, and staff. Also, I helped patients with the completion of Advanced Directives.

As a manufacturing team leader, I managed crews of 30+ personnel in addition to any temporary workers assigned to my departments for my shift, ensuring that production goals were met. In addition, I ensured that training was completed, quality standards were met, and administrative tasks were completed. I also coached and mentored the employees under my supervision, conducted annual employee reviews, and enforced disciplinary action as necessary.Additionally, I served as the department representative on the safety team (I attended the weekly safety meeting, conducted weekly safety inspections as well as weekly and annual safety training, and conducted root cause analysis). Plus, I am trained in lean manufacturing (5S, Kaizen, and writing work instructions).
