I deal mainly with sole traders and small to medium sized businesses, although I have experience of working with larger sole traders and limited companies of various sizes, as well as aiding with the formulation of VAT quarterly reports under the supervision of the VAT department.I am the sole accountant in charge of sole trader accounts in the company. I deal with the booking in of records and the organisation of client files and records once accounts have been completed, as well as contacting clients and liaising with them to finalise their accounts.. I have a number of students and work experience personnel working beneath me whom I can delegate work to, and have aided in the training of these students to ensure the quality and accuracy of the work they do is high.I have a lot of experience with aiding HMRC in their routine business records checks. This includes preparing the client for the checks, helping them to improve their record-keeping to ensure they pass the checks and continue to implement proper business practice after the fact. I have dealt with other investigations also, advising clients on what they need to provide in order to appease the investigators and to help the process along in a timely fashion. I also aid clients with their applications for Working/Family Tax Credits, Housing Benefits, NI Exemptions and other various forms they need help filling in. I am entrusted with nearly all of the company's business banking transactions, having been made one of two people, along with the Office Manager, who can make transactions with the company account. I am also entrusted with the boss' personal banking as well as the in-person delivery and collection of payments to and from clients and suppliers. Show less
