In 1967 I worked at Domtar Pulp and Paper in Cornwall ,in the Vanilla Manufacturing plant. This was a process from a hot liquid and then placed into a cooler in which the vanilla was made into a powder form, and then shipped out to various customers world wide. I was the only person involved in this processing area.In 1968 September 3rd I reported to Sherbourne Street Toronto and attended the three week course for the O.P.P.I was posted to Toronto Detachment which was the security of G.H.Q. and the Ontario Forensic Center on Lakeshore Blvd Toronto.After my period of the standard 1 year I was posted to Downsview Detachment . Here I was involved in highway traffic In 1970 and 1971 I was transferred for the summer months to Grand Bend Detachment . the area .During the F.L.Q. crisis I was selected to be Hon. Alan Grossmiths guard at his home and to important business functions within his riding.In 1973 I transferred into the Liquor Enforcement Branch with the O.P.P.. We worked with the Liquor Board of Ontario in investigation procedures of illegal Alcohol sales and bootleggers. Also investigated persons applying for a liquor license for a Hotel or Bar.We were instrumental in setting up raids on licensed premises and assisted the Anti Gambling Squad on raids on illegal gambling. We also assisted the Bike Squad on various watches of the biker gangs.In 1975 I returned to uniform and worked out of Whitby Detachment in General Law. While here I was able to help in the investigation of a female body that was found and she was buried in the Whitby Detachment area.In 1980 I was transferred to Properties Branch G.H,Q. Here I was involved in the maintenance staff. Also was involved in the ground work of drawings for new detachment Buildings through out the area. Worked with the Government properties office of the M.G.S.Retired in Belleville 1998 after working in Belleville for 10 years.

  I worked as a casual employee at the LCBO f or a six year period. Involved in running the cash,stocking shelves and once and a while in charge of the Store and had to balance the cash at the end of the night.
