I have been fortunate enough to be a part of Wyndham City Councils well established GIS team for nearly 8 years. My current position requires me to support the maintenance and development of Council’s internal and external GIS offerings. With Wyndham being one of Australia's fasting growing Municipality's and being heavily reliant on data. A key responsibility in my role is to provide the organisation with quality, current and accurate data to enable well informed decision making. A key task in achieving this is maintaining linkages between Council’s Property/Rates Database and VicMap GIS layers.In addition to data, Cartographic outputs are also a big part of my role. These are often used to support Strategy documents, Advocacy campaigns and also community engagement.
