This role constructs partnerships between clients, team IBM, vendors, and subcontractor organizations and manages the implementation of these partnerships to address business innovation. The role requires equally balanced skills in five key general management areas of client relationship management, consultative selling, financial / business management, portfolio / program management and team / people management. Accountable for meeting revenue, profit, and growth objectives and for improving overall customer satisfaction targets. Accountable to build and maintain strong client relationships at all levels with the objective of being a trusted business partner. Proactively work with client to identify their business objectives, priorities and directions, critical success factors and applies this knowledge to establish and implement an Account Strategy.

Overall leader of Delivery in relation to technical landscape, service quality, client satisfaction and innovation. Provide account leadership to the service delivery internal and external teams, to develop program, project, product, and business strategies, implementing resulting solutions to meet contract deliverables. Own quality for services provided by the delivery organization and is are responsible for tracking and reporting on service level performance. Manage contractual cost, schedule, and service or product deliverables as they relate to the delivery organization.

The Technical Service Owner (TSO) is responsible for the management of technical services across their entire lifecycle (strategy, lifecycle, costing and marketing) to assure their maximum value to the business. This includes: Risk, Cost, Service Level, Software Currency, Asset management, User access, Capacity and Disaster Recovery.The Technical Service Owner (TSO) is accountable for three key outcomes:1. Risk and quality management: preserve the integrity of a technical service to avoid problems before they occur and to meet regulatory requirements.2. Commercial effectiveness: provide service transparency and progress opportunities that enable more efficient service development and delivery. 3. Strategic technical direction: identify and advance opportunities that have potential to simplify or enhance technical and business capability and ensure a balance of commercial and architectural goals.TSO activities are primarily strategic and commercial in focus and take a medium to long term view. The TSO role is that of a senior influencer.
